Chinese stocks slip further tracking regional peers

Chinese stocks fell on Wednesday as investors became more cautious, reflecting a risk-off mood in Asian markets. The Shanghai Composite decreased by 0.97% to 3,941.4, and the Shenzhen Component dropped by 1.88% to 13,611.6. Rising oil prices and tensions in the Middle East heightened concerns about supply disruptions and inflation, prompting expectations that major central banks might maintain high interest rates longer. Investors monitored developments involving China, Russia, and the US, with Putin and Xi discussing a trilateral meeting with Trump at the upcoming APEC summit. Notably, PetroChina fell by 1.49%, and other energy and technology stocks also declined.
